COMMISSIONS
A commissioned painting brings your vision to life in a piece that's truly yours - created with intention and inspired by your space and your story.
I would love to work with you to create the perfect custom piece for your home! Please read more about my commission process below and fill out the commission inquiry form to get started.
MY COMMISSION PROCESS:
Step 1: Share Your Vision: I'll ask you to send me a reference photo (or several!). These can be inspiration photos, photos of the room, color palettes you love, fabric swatches, paint chips, or anything else that you think might add to our conversation about the piece. The more I know about your style, story, and preferences, the better!
Step 2: Send a Few of Your Favorites: I'll also ask you to send 2-3 titles or links to my paintings that you're drawn to - this helps me get a sense of what you love. If you aren't sure the direction you would like to go in, that's fine too and I am happy to help!
Step 3: Pick Your Size: Tell me the dimensions you'd like for your painting. Pricing varies per size and can be found listed on the form below.
Step 4: Discuss Your Timeline: Do you need it by a certain time? Commissions usually take 10-12 weeks to complete, but I will be happy to try to accommodate deadlines if possible!
Step 5: Secure Your Spot: A 50% deposit secures your commission and covers material and upfront cost. The balance will be due upon final approval of the painting before it ships.
Step 6: Collaborate Before Completion: I’ll share photos of the completed piece, and you’ll have up to two revisions to make sure it’s perfect!
Step 7: To Frame or Not to Frame? All pieces will be wired and ready to hang. If you are interested in framing, I will be happy to work with you to select the best frame for your painting. I can ship directly to your framer, or get the piece framed locally (Charlotte, NC). The lead time for my framer is typically about 4-6 weeks. The price of the frame depends on the style and the size of the painting, and will be billed separately.
Step 8: Shipping: For larger pieces, the client is responsible for shipping costs, for which a quote can be discussed prior to scheduling the commission. Local pick-up is also available for clients in the Charlotte area. Shipping occurs after the painting is dry enough to safely transport. I usually wait about 2 weeks to ship. Once it’s ready to ship I will notify you.
Step 9: Enjoy! I want you to love the process and your final product, and I will do everything I can to ensure a wonderful experience!
